History
HOW IT ALL STARTED:
DID YOU KNOW?
Indian Fields was home to the 1954 All-Electric house (shown below). It was built by Kansas City Power & Light Company as the show house for an all-electric neighborhood. Five families lived in the ranch-style home at the corner of Homestead and Granada from the 1950s until the 1990s. The last family to live there donated it to the Johnson County Museum where it is currently on display as their biggest collection item!
